What happens when I send shoppers?
SimRanger sends AI shoppers into your live store. They browse, search, select variants and add items to cart the way a real customer would, then report anything that felt like friction. Each batch of shoppers you send appears as a session in the app.
Does SimRanger just trust what the AI shoppers say?
No. A shopper's observation is a signal, not a verdict. SimRanger tries to reproduce every suspected technical problem itself before calling it a verified issue. If it doesn't reproduce, it stays visible, either as friction or as checked, not confirmed, instead of being marked as a defect.
Will the AI shoppers place orders?
No. They are blocked from checkout and payment pages. They may add items to a cart, but they never buy anything.
My store is password-protected. Can SimRanger still test it?
Yes. Save your storefront password under Store access in the app. It is checked against your storefront before it is saved, stored encrypted, and never shown to the AI shoppers.
Does SimRanger fix issues automatically?
No. SimRanger surfaces verified evidence and friction so your team can decide what to fix. It does not modify your store or theme.
Is SimRanger a monitoring tool that runs on a schedule?
No. SimRanger only runs when you send shoppers. Sending them again lets you see whether an issue is New, Open, Fixed or Regressed compared with earlier sessions.
